Many times over the years, those who come to Mission SOLANO have told me, “Ron, you don’t know what it’s like. You don’t know how hard it is to change and get off drugs and live a clean and sober life.” I just smile and say to them. “Oh, I think I know what it’s like, let me tell you what it will take. And if you’re ready, you too can live a new life.
God’s love found me and met me where I was. He gave me the hope and help that I needed to stay clean and sober, and to clean my life up. More importantly, He gave me the hope of a life in Him and a passion to help others. My redemption story is a reminder to me of why I do what I do; I pray others find hope in it as well.
It’s with that new life in mind I share my personal story with you…
IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO BE PART OF
December 3, 2013, was Giving Tuesday, a national movement to remind us that, in the midst of holiday shopping such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we need to remember those less fortunate than us.
Would you consider being a part of Giving Tuesday, and remember Mission SOLANO with a gift of support? Your gift is especially needed during the Christmas holiday, as we continue the work to care for the men, women, children and veterans of our community that have found themselves in a time of need. Remember that 84 cents of every dollar goes directly to helping people find restoration and healing at Mission SOLANO.
